New Delhi: More than a year later Pahalgam terror attackPakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is suspected of plotting attacks on a historic temple in Delhi, a popular darbar on the Delhi-Sonipat highway and an army camp in Haryana through operatives linked to Shahzad Bhatti’s module, sources said on Friday. The alleged conspiracy surfaced during the interrogation of nine suspects from the module, who were arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell under its ‘Operation Gang Roundup 2.0’ from multiple states.According to news agency PTI, investigators found that one of the accused had conducted reconnaissance of a historic temple in Delhi and shared photos of the premises with handlers in Pakistan through social media platforms. The module allegedly planned to target police and paramilitary personnel deployed at the temple and open fire on them to trigger panic and chaos, sources said.Sources further said the accused were also assigned to conduct a grenade attack on a popular dhaba on the Delhi-Sonipat highway, which is frequented by thousands of people every day, with the aim of causing massive damage and casualties.“An army camp in Hisar is also allegedly under investigation and videos from the area were shared with border handlers. Some police stations in Uttar Pradesh are also on the target list,” the source added.
