According to authorities, Dogan killed two people and wounded three others before allegedly shooting himself in the head during a suspected “domestic dispute.” Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said at a news conference Monday evening that the 56-year-old man went by the alias Roberta Esposito, the New York Post reported.

While there is no evidence that Dorgan is a Democrat, there are conflicting accounts of whether he supports President Donald Trump. One post described Dorgan as a “die-hard Trump supporter” who had warned “other conservatives” on X not to speak ill of transgender people. One screenshot appears to show multiple comments directed at Alex Jones and Kevin Sorbo, telling them they would “go crazy” if they continued to attack trans people.
Another post claims that Dogan has been critical of Trump’s federal policy that recognizes only two genders — male and female. As seen in the screenshot, Dogan shared a post from Trump in which the president blasted the fact that a biological male was allowed to compete in the California girls state finals, writing, “Throughout my life. Three girls. They are using us to tear the country apart. This is ridiculous.”
A screenshot also showed that Dogan retweeted Marjorie Taylor Greene’s X post, which was about Pam Bondi’s letter to Congress naming several people in the Epstein dossier.

Dogan has been identified as the father of a North Providence High School senior. The student was participating in a hockey tournament, local television station WPRI reported.

During the game, Dogan was sitting near the back of the home team’s side of the stands and shot four family members and a family friend before walking to the front. Multiple sources told WPRI that the deceased included the mother and siblings of his children. The mother died inside Lynch Arena, while the siblings died in hospital. Three victims remain in critical condition.
Gonsalves confirmed police had nothing to do with Dogan’s death. “This appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but we will conduct a full investigation into this,” Goncalves said. “The police are not involved in this matter.”
