The content appears to depict a man wearing gloves, a mask and carrying a backpack appearing at the entrance of Guthrie’s residence on the morning of Guthrie’s disappearance. The man’s eyes were visible through openings in the mask, and the video captured the man appearing to interfere with the home’s doorbell camera.

The man was armed, Patel said, noting that at least one video appeared to show a holstered gun.

“Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has discovered these new, previously inaccessible images showing an armed man who appears to be Nancy Guthrie’s The front door the morning she disappeared,” said Patel.

Shortly after the video was released, online discussion began about the identity of the masked man, with many believing he was related to Nancy Guthrie’s son-in-law, Tommaso Sione.

A social media account called Atom Report allegedly analyzed the video and made a profile match, claiming the person could be Dominic Evans.

“Analysis: Who is the masked man? We are following reports that the “subject” in Nancy Guthrie’s lens is related to Dominic Evansdrummer for the band Early Black. Connection: Evans was a direct bandmate of Tommaso Scioni. Match: Evans fits the subject’s athletic build and visible facial hair (dark beard and goatee) matches his known profile,” it reads.

“Whoever this Dominic Evans is, Tomasso Cioni’s (Nancy Guthrie’s son-in-law) bandmate, he really looks like him. I’ve seen a lot of posts saying he has a record and is a suspect, if he’s cleared I’m sorry, please LMK!” said another X user.

However, the person’s identity has not been formally verified and officials have not identified any suspects.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office, which is overseeing the investigation, issued a similar statement to the FBI and said no media briefings were currently scheduled.
