Is Apple Pay down? Reports of ‘not available’ emerge as users face issues with apple wallet
Apple Pay users are reporting problems with Apple Wallet, with some encountering “not available” messages and other difficulties while trying to use the service, raising questions over whether Apple Pay is down.
According to Downdetector, 46% of users have reported problems with Funds Transfer and 39% of users have reported difficulties with payments through Apple Wallet. However, Apple’s official System Status page currently lists Apple Pay as available.
Some users reported messages including “Unable to connect to wallet services,” prompting searches for whether Apple Pay was down. One user said money reloaded to Apple Pay had been charged but was not showing in the balance. “Tried to turn on and turn off to reset and it is saying not available,” the user reported.
The reports suggest some users may be experiencing intermittent issues with Apple Wallet and Apple Pay services, even as Apple’s status page continues to show the service as operational.

Similar Apple Cash-related problems have been reported during previous disruptions, including users saying funds had left an account without immediately appearing for the recipient and others temporarily being unable to access their Apple Cash balance.
