Delhi Capitals alternate captain Kuala Lumpur Rahul Royal Challengers Bangalore were visibly frustrated after DC concluded a tense chase at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, aided by David Miller’s late onslaught.Rahul, who presided over the innings with a clinical half-century, revealed that the duo Virat Kohli Phil Salter looked uncomfortable with the course conditions early in the game.“I could see that Virat and Phil Salt were not happy with the way the ball was being bowled. We lost three wickets in the first six overs and it was not easy for us. So, yes, all in all, it was a very good cricket match. After losing three quick wickets, our conversation was to continue playing good cricket and see how we can find boundaries while still putting pressure on the bowlers,” Rahul said after the match.Taking over the captaincy in the absence of Axar Patel due to cramp, Rahul guided DC through their early troubles after losing three wickets in the powerplay. The key, he stressed, is to maintain a positive attitude even when faced with setbacks.“We don’t want to get into our shell. If the run-rate continues to climb, it will become more difficult towards the end. Our plan is to continue to play our shots and find boundaries while building pressure,” he explained.Rahul also pointed out that there was some help for the bowlers, including a hint of reverse swing, making the chase against the experienced RCB attack far from straightforward.“We know they have quality death bowlers, so we don’t want to get too deep into it. But at the same time, we believe in living in the moment,” he added. The game finally entered the final frame, with DC needing 15 points. Although Romario Shepherd took control of the game early, Miller turned the tide with two towering sixes to secure a memorable victory.Rahul expressed complete faith in his finishers, especially Tristan Stubbs and Miller.“People have faith in Stubbs and Miller. They have done that a lot in international and franchise cricket. We knew the last two overs were a gamble for RCB and that gave us a chance. We knew Romario Shepard or Suyash Sharma would bowl and that gave our batsmen a good chance to hit a few sixes,” Rahul concluded. Match summary: RCB vs DCDelhi Capitals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, with KL Rahul leading the way in a tricky 176-run chase. Riding on a brilliant performance from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Delhi Capitals are 18/3 in three overs. However, Rahul steadied the innings with a solid performance of 57 off 34 balls, sealing the chase under pressure. He was well supported by Tristan Stubbs, who shot an unbeaten 60, and David Miller, who finished with a quick 22*, including two crucial sixes in the final over to seal the match.Earlier, RCB posted 175/8 after a good start from Phil Salt (63) and Virat Kohli (19). But Delhi spinners, led by Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, triggered a mid-order collapse that restricted RCB to a sub-par total. Despite a late scare, DC managed to level the target with a one-goal advantage, ending RCB’s five-game winning streak at home and breaking their fortress in a high-pressure encounter.
