New Delhi: After India’s humiliating loss to South Africa in the 2026 T20 World Cup, a video posted by social media influencer RJ Princy Parikh with South African batsman David Miller went viral. Soon after, Parikh claims she began receiving severe online abuse, including rape threats and body-shaming comments. As a result, she deleted the video from Facebook but kept it on Instagram and said she planned to file a police complaint about the threats.

South Africa defeated India by 76 runs in the first Super Eight match of the 2026 T20 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, making it mandatory for India to win their remaining two matches to reach the semi-finals. Chasing 188 runs, India were bowled out for just 111 in 18.5 overs, ending their 12-match winning streak in the T20 World Cup.India’s chase failed early with Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma failing miserably. Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma tried to rebuild but Sharma was dismissed in the fifth over. Dube’s dismissal for 42 sealed India’s fate.South Africa’s bowlers were dominant, with Marco Jansen taking 4/22, Keshav Maharaj 3/24, while Lungi Ngidi conceded just 15 runs in four overs. Earlier, David Miller dominated the match with 63 off 35 balls as South Africa were 20/3, sharing 97 runs with Dewald Brevis (45 off 29 balls).
