Infinix has announced the launch of XOS 16, the latest software version based on Android 16. The new operating system focuses on simplifying daily phone use through interface changes, wider personalization controls, increased gaming features, and AI-based productivity tools. According to the company, XOS 16 reduces screen elements and shortens the number of steps required to complete common tasks.

Personalization and interface updates
A key part of the update is personalization. XOS 16 allows users to change layouts, wallpapers, and themes on the lock screen and home screen. Users can create custom themes and wallpapers using multiple formats supported by the AI-based tool. Infinix has also introduced a depth effect that visually links the lock screen and home screen. The update includes new design options such as illustrated patterns, animated elements, and AI-generated portraits, giving users more control over the look of their phone.

Artificial Intelligence Tools for Work and Daily Use
XOS 16 also adds a number of AI-driven tools for work, school, and everyday organization. One of the major new additions is Mind Hub, an AI-powered space that collects and organizes content based on what’s shown on the screen. The tool can store notes, reminders, dates, phone numbers, and addresses without the need for manual sorting. Another feature is One-Tap FlashMemo, which can quickly turn notes into calendar events. AskFolax allows users to save ideas with just one click, while AI writing helps edit messages. AI recommendations study usage patterns and recommend apps at specific times based on routines.

Game features
For gaming users, XOS 16 introduces several updates. Frame interpolation improves the flow of motion in supported games. The Magic Voice Changer and Voice Command features allow players to change their voice during gameplay or use voice control. These additions are designed to expand in-game interaction without the need for external tools.
The update also brings system-level changes. XOS 16 introduces iPhone Transfer, which uses NFC to send photos to Apple devices without an Internet connection. Another new addition is bypass charging, which allows the phone to draw power directly from the charger during use, helping to control heat while gaming or streaming.
