Jammu: Army personnel on alert foil infiltration attempts along the route control line (LoC) Nowshera in Jhangar, Rajouri and shot dead one person pakistani terrorist Tuesday.The White Knight Corps of the Army said in an X post that based on intelligence inputs, soldiers spotted two terrorists moving along the Line of Control around 3 pm. “Vigilant troops responded with prompt and targeted combat operations, quickly entering the fray and successfully thwarting the infiltration attempt. In the ensuing engagement, one Pakistan-backed terrorist was eliminated, effectively denying any violation of the Line of Control,” the post added.
The post further stated that Army personnel have “reorientated to search for the second terrorist and ensure ruthless control of the area supported by integrated ground and aerial surveillance. A strong operational posture and high alert continue to be maintained throughout the area.”Earlier, the Army foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists along the Line of Control in Rajouri district on March 4. Last month, soldiers foiled another infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Nathua Tibba area of Sunderbani on February 19. Troops seized weapons and ammunition during a search of the area the next day.
