Kingla said in his testimony that he did not know he was working for the Bishnoi gang when he carried out the attack. “I got information that this gang is threatening my family in India and they said if I go back, they will kill me,” said Jingla, who insisted he was not a member of the Bishnoi gang.“Because I wasn’t a member of their gang, they thought I was helping the police because I was the first one arrested,” Kingla said.Kingla’s revelations came during an admissions hearing to determine whether he should be deported to India for organized crime charges.The 26-year-old was sentenced to six years in prison last fall on arson and firearms charges for his role in an incident in which Gingera and a co-defendant set fire to a vehicle and fired 14 pistol shots in front of Dillon’s home.“I’m surprised I’m on every news channel”Kingla said he was surprised when he saw the video he shot showing up on every news channel. “Even I was surprised that the morning news channels were all over it,” he said. “If I had known earlier that the Bishnoi gang was involved and that it was going to be that serious — extortion and all that — I would have [refused] At that time. ““My family has been threatened, and now it’s 100 percent threatening for them because it’s going to be out in the media,” Kingella said.“If I go to India – they will definitely kill me.”Kingela said he came to Canada in 2018 on a student visa. While doing various odd jobs, he met Vikram Sharma, the co-accused in the AP Dhillon house arson case. Jingla said Sharma offered him $4,000 to join the raid and told him that AP Dhillon’s house would be empty. But that’s not the case. Although Dhillon was not home and his roommate narrowly escaped injury, Jingla said Sharma gave him cash but never told him who they were doing it for.
