New Delhi: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel, India and Israel unequivocally condemned all forms of terrorism, including cross-border terrorism, and reiterated zero tolerance in a joint statement.They strongly condemned “the brutal terrorist attacks in both countries, including the terrorist attack in Israel on October 7, 2023, and the despicable Pahalgam terrorist attack” and emphasized the urgent need to hold the perpetrators accountable.The statement was issued after a meeting of the India-Israel Counter Terrorism Working Group. The two sides exchanged views on global and regional terrorist threats and expressed concern about the increasing use of drones and artificial intelligence for terrorist purposes.“They reviewed traditional and emerging threats such as terrorist recruitment, misuse of technology and terrorist financing, and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation through training, cybersecurity, exchange of best practices and information sharing,” the statement said.Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to multilateral cooperation and the fight against terrorist organizations and their supporters.
