New Delhi: Members of the House of Commons Raghav Chadha Tuesday launched a blistering attack on his former party am admi partyalleging misuse of state machinery in Punjab to target recently defected MPs bjp.Chadha was part of the delegation that met Draupadi Murmuaccusing the AAP-led Punjab government of engaging in “vendetta politics” against dissident leaders.“After merging with the Bharatiya Janata Party, which left the Aam Aadmi Party, the Punjab government and the Aam Aadmi Party, driven by the spirit of revenge and revenge, are allegedly involved in vendetta politics. They are using state machinery in Punjab to target those MPs who exercised their constitutional rights, expressed dissent and chose to leave the Aam Aadmi Party. He further alleged selective attacks through multiple agencies. “I would just like to say this…those who went to Rajgir and prayed for civil disobedience at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial are today using the machinery of Punjab to selectively target us through vigilance inquiry, Delhi Police and even the pollution commission. It is very important for the public to understand this, especially for the people of Punjab to be aware of all these developments,” he added.Another member of the House of Commons and an AAP rebel, Sandeep Pathakstated that the delegation sought constitutional guarantees during its meeting with the President. “We informed the president about the current situation and she assured us of the protection of the Constitution,” Pathak said.Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant MannAlong with the AAP MLAs, they traveled to Delhi to meet the President to discuss the recent defection of seven members of the Lok Sabha to the BJP, setting the stage for a political standoff between the two parties.
