Hyderabad: A three-month pregnant woman was hacked to death at her home in Hyderabad on Wednesday, allegedly by her ex-husband, who was upset over her remarriage.Accused Devarakonda Mahesh broke into Sunitha’s apartment. Armed with a knife, a bottle of petrol and a chainsaw, he locked himself in her room and allegedly attacked her after an argument.“Within minutes, he stabbed her multiple times, including on her head,” said inspector T Mahesh. Her family members heard her screams and rushed there, only to find her lying in a pool of blood. The defendant locked himself in the bathroom. Police broke in and took him into custody. Sunitha and Mahesh, both technicians, got married in 2022.
