‘His mind seems confused’: Ashwin speaks out on CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad

CSK, which has won two games in a row, fell 10 points behind SRH on Saturday.After posting 194/9, SRH restricted CSK to 184/8, supported by half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen.“This is his best chance to score. Because of the way Ayush Maitre is starting, he doesn’t need to take risks or score quickly. They are running away with the power play. That’s where Ruturaj needs some time, scores some runs and then gets back into shape.“After Ayush Maitre’s wicket, Ruturaj got a really good ball and it was not easy to beat him on the pull. I just felt he was under a lot of pressure and his mind seemed a bit muddled,” Ashwin said on JioHotstar.CSK started their campaign with three consecutive losses to Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore before bouncing back with consecutive wins over Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders.However, their momentum was halted yet again with a narrow defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad.With a net run rate of -0.780, CSK find themselves in the bottom half of the table and are under pressure to turn things around.CSK will take on Mumbai Indians on April 23.
