Heartbreaking video shows dog ‘trapped’ on LA balcony in heat, owner accused of denying food and water; PETA responds
A widely circulated X post shows pet dog Facing neglect of a house Los Angeles. The video shows the dog alone on a balcony, with the caption saying it has been without food for days in hot weather.

Columnist Liz Crokin shared videourge PETA Take action.
“This neglected dog has been stuck on a balcony for days (possibly longer) in hot weather without proper shelter, food or water at 349 S La Fayette Park Place, Los Angeles, CA 90057 (La Fayette Apartments, Unit 227),” the caption said.

“The public is calling building management and Los Angeles Animal Control and is actively investigating, but this dog is still suffering!” she added. “
@PETA – You’ve stepped in and helped save dogs in high-profile abuse cases, like Louie’s abuse by anchor Aspen Cartier. Please help this innocent puppy too! Rescue workers are providing thousands of people to take him to safety. “
“Demand that this dog be surrendered to rescue immediately. This makes me sick – this precious fur baby deserves better!” Crokin further wrote.
PETA responded in the comments section, writing: “Thank you for caring about animals. Our Cruelty Investigations Unit is aware of this and is currently looking into the matter!”
Founded in 1980, PETA is known for establishing and defending animal rights.

“Go save this poor dog”
Netizens supported Crokin in the comments section of the post. “I just want to say that if someone in LA will save this dog, get a ladder, climb up and catch it, you will be an absolute hero! If for some reason the police make the stupid decision to arrest you, I guarantee your bail will be raised within minutes and thousands of us will rally to your defense. Please, someone in LA, go save this poor dog,” one user wrote. One user wrote: “Update: I just spoke with LA Animal Control over the phone. They are aware of the situation and have launched an investigation. The lady was very nice and said they have been getting a ton of calls from people concerned about this little angel. Hopefully this beautiful puppy will be picked up by Animal Control soon and available for adoption.”
“We don’t deserve dogs. How mean does one have to be to abandon that child?” one user wrote, while another said: “Someone save this poor baby! The owner should be prosecuted!”
