He refused to work for a Jewish boss. Now he has a $25,000 donation and Cornell has taken no action against him
Austin Franco, who doesn’t want to work for a Jewish owner, said his account now has $25,000 in donations as a result of the controversy.

Controversial Cornell University student Austin Franco flatly refused to work with a New York startup because the boss was Jewish. He revealed that Cornell took no action against him and now has a $25,000 donation in his bank account. Basically, the controversy does him more good. The information was revealed to an undercover investigator for the nonprofit Accuracy in Media, who pretended to be an anti-Semite and met Austin Franco.Franco admitted he didn’t think he would be at the center of a major controversy following his comments. In fact, he thought he was only being honest because the employer gave no explanation for not hiring someone; but he did so by not accepting the offer.

He ostensibly said he would not work for Jews.“So far, they (Cornell) say nothing has happened on their back end. I think it’s because I didn’t say anything that could be classified as hateful. There’s really no path forward for them to continue,” Franco said of his future at Cornell.Franco showed no remorse for his open hatred of Jews and redoubled his efforts. He just thinks the controversy could have been avoided.Cornell was criticized because undercover video showed they took no action against him. The New York Post quoted a Cornell University spokesperson as saying that Cornell University had issued a statement saying that Cornell condemned anti-Semitism and that the incident had been turned over to the Cornell Office for Civil Rights for investigation.Franco reacted to the undercover report and said it was regrettable that everything they told him when they met was a lie. “The organization is called Justice in the Classroom. They said they wanted to help and provide support for life after college. Mentioned donations of around $5,000, job opportunities, etc. At the end of the meeting, Hope said she would talk to Mark and Mark would decide if the donor contribution made sense. The sad thing is they are dishonest,” Franco said.
