Haywood Mall Shooting Latest News: What’s Happening in Greenville, SC? Active shooter reports spark panic
The Greenville Police Department confirmed that multiple victims were found after officers were dispatched to the mall in response to a suspected shooting.

Authorities said two people were taken to the hospital. An 18-year-old male was allegedly treated for a gunshot wound to the neck, Malarkey News reported.
People were taken into custody and no shots were fired since police arrived on the scene, according to authorities. Police said an argument that escalated into a shooting was not an isolated incident.
Police are currently assisting the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in cleaning up the mall, WYFF reports.

Major police and emergency services are at the scene
Video posted online showed a heavy law enforcement presence in parts of the mall. The response involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including police and firefighters, according to Citizen App.
Authorities were dispatched to the shopping center at 700 Haywood Rd following numerous reports from police and fire services.

Unconfirmed reports of an active shooter began circulating online and around the mall. Authorities have not publicly confirmed this is an active shooting scene.

Independent journalist Jackson Gosnell reported that he heard from multiple victims. According to one victim who contacted Gosnell, “My Jackson is in a storage room at the mall because of an active shooter. Do you know about this?”
