Charts on Down Detector show the outage began around 2:48 p.m. ET on Monday and peaked around 3:18 p.m., with about 5,500 reports. However, by 3:46 p.m. ET, the number of reports had dropped to around 500.
As a result, the outage lasted about an hour Monday afternoon. Below is a chart of outages reported to Claude by users on Monday afternoon.
On DownDetector, 50% of users reported problems with the Clause chat, 33% reported problems with the Claude app, and 12% complained about problems with the Claude website.
