Pennsylvania State Police responded to a burglary and attempted burglary in 2024 that resulted in the discovery of a gang dealing in drugs and weapons.

Harshpreet Singh, a 25-year-old American Indian, admitted to illegally possessing a firearm in the United States. He was charged last October after Pennsylvania State Police captured him during a 2024 attempted burglary investigation. However, this attempted theft was no ordinary incident. Investigators found a stash of drugs and weapons and discovered the man who called 911 to report the burglary was not innocent. He was allegedly dealing drugs. All those involved in the case are of Indian origin. On August 28, 2024, officers with the Bethel Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the unit block of Legion Drive for a report of a burglary in progress. Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound near a residence where a burglary was reported. Pennsylvania State Police investigated and discovered that a man who lived at a Legion Drive address was confronted by two masked intruders armed with handguns at his home. The man fired at the intruders with a rifle, hitting one of them. The intruders then fled the house. After executing multiple search warrants, investigators found approximately 850 grams of cocaine, narcotic paraphernalia and several firearms at the Legion Drive address, including a shotgun with an obliterated serial number.Just after midnight, Gulal Singh was awakened by a soft knock on the door. Then he heard a loud bang on the basement door, as if someone was trying to break in. He grabbed an assault rifle and confronted two armed men who were ransacking the first floor of his home. He shot one of them, then locked himself in a bedroom and called 911.Gurlal Singh (29) and Ramanpreet Singh (24) were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Amarbir Singh (24), Amandeep Kaur (38), Harshpreet Singh (23) and Kuljinder Singh (33) were charged with burglary, conspiracy, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.Harshpreet has now pleaded guilty and is expected to be sentenced on July 9, with a possible maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
