‘Habit of repeating false things’: Haqq’s RS remarks on PM Modi; Fresh chorus quotes Naravane’s ‘memoir’ | India News

New Delhi: congress president Malikajun Hager criticize the prime minister on friday Narendra Modi and the Union government over what he said was a denial of facts regarding the publication of former Army Chief General MM Naravane’s memoir said the issue was “right under your nose” and accused the government of avoiding key issues raised by the opposition.Hager’s comments came after opposition parties walked out of the Bundestag during yesterday’s debate on the Prime Minister’s reply to the President’s address, claiming their concerns – particularly over national security and China – had not been addressed.“There is no need to react to the Prime Minister’s speech, but I would like to respond to what he said. Because repeating lies has always been one of his habits. “In the 97-minute speech, the Prime Minister did not say anything conclusive. He did not answer any of the concerns we raised during the discussion, but only talked about the past 100 years, 75 years and 50 years,” Hager said of the Prime Minister’s speech. ” Referring to the controversy over the memoirs of former Army Chief General Naravane, Haq questioned the government’s claim in Parliament that the book has not been published yet.“When we talk about the country’s defence, we received a book published by General Naravane (retd) but how did you not get it? You said in Parliament that the book has not been published. How can the defense minister say that the book has not been published? It is a privilege. It is right under your nose,” Kharg said.He claimed that Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had previously repeated the same stance in the House Rahul Gandhi The so-called “memoirs” of former Army Chief Naravane were brought to Parliament. “It turned out to be true,” he said.Haq also questioned the government’s response when Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of China in the debate. “Why are they bothered when LoP Rahul Gandhi raises this issue (China issue)? Listen to the truth and answer…deny it,” he said. Hague said the opposition decided to withdraw because they believed the Prime Minister had failed to provide a substantive response to the debate. “Unfortunately, he provided no substance and no answers to the questions we asked in the House. And then they just kept insulting me,” he said. After Rahul Gandhi’s remarks calling Union Minister Ravineet Bittu a “traitor” triggered a major controversy, the BJP refuted the Congress’ accusation of insulting the Sikh community, triggering a sharp response from the BJP.“We respect the Sikh community,” Haq said, quoting former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. “Dr. Manmohan Singh, a renowned economist, was twice appointed as finance minister and prime minister, the same post as Modi.” Accusing the ruling party of relying on attacks rather than governance, Hague said: “What have they done over the last decade but abuse Parliament?”
