H-1B fraud: 30 U.S. companies under investigation for suspected visa abuse network

According to the press release, these entities allegedly engaged in fraudulent conduct designed to exploit the H-1B visa program. Investigators allege that some companies operate so-called “ghost offices” that falsely present active business operations to sponsor foreign workers.

As part of the investigation, authorities requested detailed records from the companies, including employee lists, descriptions of business activities, financial statements and internal communications.
