Josh Taylor wrote in his deposition that they “had just decided to start trying for a baby. We had no idea what to expect after a breast cancer diagnosis, but our minds automatically jumped to the worst-case scenario.”

“I had just finished my master’s degree and we thought it would be a good time to start trying to have a baby,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to be a really young mom. A lot of people ask me, ‘How did you find out you had breast cancer? You were 24. Did you check yourself? Did you go to the doctor?’ The answer is: ‘No. I didn’t.'”
She added: “After tests, they discovered that I had stage three breast cancer that had spread from the original tumor site to some lymph nodes in my arm. The doctors wanted me to start chemotherapy immediately.”
She said she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, which had spread to her lymph nodes. Doctors urged immediate chemotherapy, warning the treatment could affect fertility.
Because the cancer is in its aggressive stage, there is no time to preserve fertility and a two-week delay is needed, with the risk of further growth. Faced with this situation, she chose to start treatment immediately.
