Police are investigating a stabbing at Four Seasons Mall in Greensboro, North Carolinaon Sunday night. According to FOX8, the Greensboro Police Department was called to the scene around 7:19pm to investigate a reported assault.

Initial reports circulating on social media claimed there may have been a shooting at the mall. Witnesses also shared videos that appeared to show a heavy police presence in the area. However, authorities later confirmed that the incident involved a stabbing, not a shooting.

On Facebook, one user initially claimed there was an “active shooter” at the Greensboro mall: “Active shooter in Greensboro NC mall if you know of anyone heading to GSO mall, Please call them there’s an active shooter in there shooting. A friend of mines called me, she works there Be careful I think she said they have shut the mall down. Prayers to all at the mall that no one gets hurt.”
On X, another user claimed: “somebody got shot in the mall greensboro getting bad.”
However, these social media claims were not independently verified, and authorities later confirmed that the incident involved a stabbing, not a shooting.

Another case of stabbing
In a separate case, a 52-year-old woman remained in the Guilford County Jail without bond Wednesday morning after police said she was arrested in connection with a stabbing outside a Greensboro Walmart, according to ABC45.
Greensboro police were called around 7:25pm. Tuesday to a report of an altercation in the parking lot of the Walmart on the 4400 block of West Wendover Avenue, as per the report. Officers found a woman suffering from a stab wound, and she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Police later found the suspect’s vehicle on Big Tree Way and arrested Tokyia Brown, according to the report. Brown was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. The investigation is ongoing.
