Artificial Intelligence ADMKNallathambi A emerged victorious, polling 73,167 votes, ahead of DMK’s Chinnadurai K by 14,404 votes.Gangavalli assembly constituency is located in Salem district tamil nadu and reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. The constituency is part of the Kalakurich Lok Sabha constituency and usually sees contests from Dravidian parties, particularly the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), reflecting the wider political landscape across the region.In the 2016 Assembly elections, this constituency had a total of 2,18,854 voters and 1,75,981 valid votes. AIADMK candidate Maruthamuthu A won with 74,301 votes, defeating DMK candidate Rekha Priyadharshini J (72,039 votes). The winning vote count was 2,262, indicating a tight race between the two main Dravidian parties.Earlier, in the 2011 assembly elections, Gangawali had 1,83,269 electors and 1,50,047 valid votes. Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazagam (DMDK) candidate Subha R won the seat with 72,922 votes, defeating DMK candidate Chinnadurai K who polled 59,457 votes. The winning margin was 13,465 votes, reflecting the influence of the DMDK-led alliance in this election cycle.
