This image that went viral on X shows a group of people from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The text overlaid on the meme reads: “Someone could build a database that cross-references ICE agents’ faces with dating apps so they never get laid.”

The meme gained traction, racking up thousands of likes and shares after being retweeted by several users.

The meme prompted a flood of responses, many of which mocked the agent’s appearance. One user wrote: “After all these years of searching, there he is! I almost wouldn’t recognize him without the hat. Waldo is on the right; he joined ICE!”

Another user commented, “Look at these faces, this app is unnecessary,” while another added, “I mean, honestly, these faces aren’t going to get people laid anyway.”

One comment read: “I thought ICE agents had done this, why do you think they are so mean?”

Background: Increase in the number of airports

The meme’s circulation comes amid reports that ICE agents have been deployed to assist transportation safety administration Airport staffing is strained during the government shutdown.

While essential services continue to operate, staffing shortages have resulted in the need for additional support roles at federal agencies, causing concern among the public and online communities.
