Police are looking for the man in a video circulating on social media who reportedly stalked children in Fredericksburg, Virginia, last week. The man reportedly nearly grabbed a little girl.
The Fredericksburg Police Department shared the update in a Facebook post, writing: “On Thursday, May 14, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Fredericksburg E-911 center received a report of suspicious activity in the Lafayette Avenue corridor. The suspect (pictured) was described as wearing pink clothing and had been reported to have been stalking children. The Fredericksburg Police Department takes these incidents seriously and has increased patrols in the area. Residents of the Lafayette Avenue corridor are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities immediately.”
“The investigation is ongoing and the Fredericksburg Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance. The resident added, “He looked like he wanted to cross the street but couldn’t avoid the traffic. When the bus came, the traffic stopped and he had a chance to cross Lafayette. When my daughter and a little girl from the neighbor got off the bus, the car drove off. He chased all 4 The kid, tried to grab the little girl (the slowest one) and her sister pulled her away and they ran away. A car drove past them (scared him?) and he turned and ran away asking everyone outside if they had seen him.”
The resident also said they reported the incident to the police and notified the traffic department. The children said the man had a hole in his clothes near his eyes and looked like a man.
“He has facial hair and appears to have a tan complexion,” the post said.
The man was wearing a strange pink outfit with a red and black plaid shirt and cowboy boots. A small bag can be seen hanging around his neck.
