Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, or McGuire Air Force Base, which includes Fort Dix, was placed on lockdown Tuesday. The incident occurred at 2901 Falcon Lane, New Jersey.

A statement from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst read: “JB MDL is currently located at FPCON CHARLIE. Security measures have been enhanced. All personnel are expected to remain alert, follow the direction of security forces and report any suspicious activity immediately.”
It added: “We appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our installation.”
FPCON Charlie is an advanced military threat condition indicating the potential for a terrorist attack or attack against personnel/facilities.
According to the Citizen app “FPCON Charlie ‘is applicable in the event of an incident or upon receipt of intelligence indicating the possibility of some form of terrorist action against a person or facility. 100% ID check required’.”
Citizenship Application Report It was also noted that social media users claimed there were multiple suspicious packages at the facility, but this has not been confirmed by authorities. Non-essential personnel have been cleared from the base, according to social media users.
