New Delhi: A terrorist killed in night clash with security forces jammu and kashmirGanderbal district army said Wednesday.Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the district’s Ahama area on Tuesday night after receiving information about suspicious activities, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.“Based on specific intelligence inputs, Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint search operation in Ahama sector of Ganderbal,” the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said in a post on X.According to the Army, alert troops noticed suspicious activity during the operation. “Terrorists opened fire when challenged and retaliated with their own troops,” the report said.The Army added that the cordon underwent tactical reorganization amid intermittent firing and the troops responded with precision, resulting in the killing of one terrorist. Officials said counterterrorism operations in the area were ongoing.
