Florida 8-year-old boy collected more than 50 robot vacuum cleaners, learned to repair them, and built a YouTube brand that makes up to $1,800 a month: Meet Wyatt Biggs

Eight-year-old Wyatt Biggs’ unusual fascination with robot vacuum cleaners has turned into a thriving online brand. What started as a childhood obsession with the family Roomba at age three has grown into a collection of more than 50 robot vacuums, a YouTube channel, a children’s book, and a merchandise business that reportedly brings in as much as $1,800 in its best months. His journey has attracted millions of views online, been covered by major media outlets, and made him one of the youngest robot enthusiasts on the Internet.

Who is Wyatt Biggs? Florida boy, 8, obsessed with robot vacuum cleaner

Wyatt’s fascination with robot vacuum cleaners began when he was three years old, shortly after his younger brother was born. According to his mother, Sara Biggs, the Roomba became a source of comfort in the home, like any other child’s favorite toy or blanket. Instead of just looking at it clean, Wyatt became curious about how the machine worked. His parents later introduced dedicated daily “Roomba time” so he could spend time with his growing collection, and he eventually joined a local robotics club to further explore his interest in technology.Wyatt’s curiosity soon turned into hands-on learning. When he was three years old, he reportedly picked up a screwdriver, took apart a robot vacuum cleaner at home, and then carefully reassembled it. It is worth noting that the machine still works after this. Since then, he’s taught himself how different robot vacuums operate, learning to identify faulty motors, worn brushes, broken wheels and battery problems. He restored many donated machines, some of which were returned to their owners after being restored to working condition.

A collection of more than 50 sweeping robots

As word of Wyatt’s unusual hobby spread, friends, neighbors and members of the local community began donating old or broken robot vacuum cleaners. Some were restored and returned, while others became part of his ever-expanding collection. Today, Wyatt has more than 50 robot vacuums, including models from iRobot and several other manufacturers. Many of the machines were deemed beyond repair before they reached him, giving Wyatt the opportunity to restore them, compare different models and better understand how robotic cleaning technology works.

architecture ‘Wyatt’s Roombas World‘

To share his passion with others, Wyatt and his family launched the YouTube channel “Wyatt’s World of Roombas.” The channel features robot vacuum reviews, repair tutorials, restoration projects, product comparisons, and tech demos. One of his most popular videos shows more than 50 robot vacuum cleaners operating simultaneously, attracting millions of views on YouTube and other social media platforms. His content introduces the technology behind consumer robots to audiences around the world in an engaging and accessible way.Wyatt’s online following continued to grow, and his family was inspired to launch a robotic vacuum cleaner-themed merchandise business after discovering few products for children who shared his interests. The store sells T-shirts, backpacks and other accessories inspired by robot vacuum cleaners and the Wyatt online brand. According to his family, the venture generated as much as $1,800 in profit in its best month, while also connecting them with families whose children had similar interests in robotics and engineering.

Become a children’s book author

Wyatt also dabbled in publishing. He co-authored “Robbie the Robot Vacuum and His Adventures” with his family, a children’s book about a curious robot vacuum cleaner who leaves home to explore the world. This story encourages children to embrace curiosity and creativity. Wyatt and his brother also helped design the main character, which later inspired the accompanying plush toy.

Inspiring young STEM enthusiasts

Wyatt’s story has become a model for child-led STEM learning, showing how children’s curiosity can develop into practical technical skills. Through years of repairing, restoring, and experimenting with robot vacuum cleaners, he gained mechanical, electronic, and problem-solving experience from an early age. His family said they heard from hundreds of parents whose children shared a similar interest in robot vacuums and robotics. Wyatt has also expressed interest in coding, robotics and 3D printing, and hopes to work on engineering-related projects in the future.
