A reporter for Turning Point USA said she was shocked after seeing a sign offering blessings for “work visas” at a Hindu temple in North Texas.Savanah Hernandez posted on She shared a photo of a sign that read: “Seeking blessings for health, work visas and any other issues.” “I’m still shocked when I walk into an Indian temple in Texas and the first thing I see is the ‘work visa’ blessing,” Hernandez wrote.In a previous article byHer TPUSA documentaries show the rapid growth of Native American and Muslim communities in towns such as Frisco, Plano and Irving. The video features interviews with local residents concerned about a rapidly changing culture and the influx of Indian immigrants, the conversion of parks into cricket fields, festivals such as Holi, and new religious infrastructure. Hernandez also shows temples with large statues of gods, grocery stores, streets with traditional South Asian names, and Indian residents wearing traditional clothing.Inside the temple, Hernandez demonstrated practices typical of Hindu worship, such as removing shoes and praying to multiple gods. She described the temple as “very large” and “intricate.”The video was criticized by some users who said Hernandez was covering religious spaces and that MAGA supporters were using her video to express anti-India and anti-immigration views. One netizen wrote onFrisco has become a flashpoint in debates about immigration and demographic change. City Council meetings were filled with claims of an “Indian takeover” and concerns about “replacing” visa rules for American workers. According to reports, online hate against Indians in the United States more than doubled between 2023 and 2025.
