Patel’s apparent intoxication and unexplained absence were blamed on behavioral issues by people he knew, the report said.

Technical errors and serious scares

On April 10, Patel almost believed he had been fired when he reportedly was unable to log into the internal computer system. He made frantic calls to his aides and allies to announce that he had been fired from the White House, atlantic The report cited nine people familiar with the matter.

When he called several people to tell him he was fired, only to find out it was due to a technical error that prevented him from logging into the system, the rumors continued to grow.

However, there are reports that negotiations are underway within the Trump administration over a successor to Patel. Patel was described as “erratic, suspicious of others and prone to jumping to conclusions before having the necessary evidence.”

Drinking problem, lock the door

Patel’s drinking problems have been a source of concern across the government, according to several FBI officials.

The report added that he was known to get drunk frequently, many times at Ned’s Bar, a private club in Washington, D.C., in the presence of the White House and other government staff. On the weekends he would go on a drinking spree at the Poodle Room in Las Vegas. This resulted in the meeting having to be rescheduled, it added.

On several occasions last year, Patel’s security staff had difficulty waking him up, apparently because he was drunk, according to Justice Department and White House officials. At one point, someone asked for “destruction equipment” because Patel could not be reached and would not open the door. Sabotage requests are typically made in a hostage situation to gain access to a building or room.

His tenure has also been called a “management failure” and his personal actions have been called “national security lapses.”

However, the White House believes that Patel has controlled the crime rate in the United States.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said recently that under Trump and Patel, the nation’s crime rate has dropped to its lowest level in more than 100 years, and many high-profile criminals are in prison.
