“Governor Beshear is reportedly preparing to test whether the Kentucky Constitution allows him to directly fill a Senate vacancy — bypassing Republicans’ 2024 special election law and encouraging Republicans to take him to court,” he wrote, sharing a link to Governor Beshear’s claims about receiving calls from agencies.

Speaking on Katie Couric’s YouTube channel, Gov. Andy Beshear claimed he received “two phone calls” from “different agencies” suggesting McConnell may have died.
“It was a month before anything was announced, not even a formal statement from Senator McConnell,” he said. “In fact, I received two phone calls from different agencies, not the state agency, indicating that he had passed.”
