Nearly a week after Elena Moore was last seen, police and volunteers are still searching for clues about her whereabouts. Authorities have now provided an update on the investigation.

Police say husband is not a suspect
Lexington Police Inspector Missy Silcox told newsweek Late Tuesday, police were not targeting Elena’s Slice husband As an interested person.
“Mr. Slice is not a person of interest to us at this time,” Silcox said. She added there was no indication of foul play but did not elaborate, Newsweek reported. Private investigator Harry Dukes told the outlet that Slice was cooperating with investigators.
Silcox’s comments came as armchair detectives speculated online about Slice’s situation, questioning why it took him “a day” to report his wife missing. New York Post.

What happened to Elena Moore?
Moore was last seen leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington at 9:17 pm local time on June 11 and walking toward a wooded area near a Lowe’s Home Improvement store.
Investigators revealed she checked in at the gym around 6:40 p.m. and was last seen on surveillance footage wearing an olive green zip-up hoodie and black sweatpants.
Moore’s husband, Brannon Slice, reported her missing the next day, but it’s unclear exactly when.
Law enforcement launched a drone search, initially focusing on woods, trails and farmland behind the Planet Fitness Center where she was last seen. Police said this was not a recovery effort but an attempt to eliminate a possible location where Moore might be.
On Wednesday, police expanded their search to a wooded area near Lakeside Middle School after a tipster reported seeing Moore walking there.
According to the New York Post, Moore worked as a personal trainer at Wolf’s Fitness Center and as a pharmacy technician at CVS. She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Lauren Beasley, a friend of Moore’s, told Fox News Digital the last time they spoke was a month ago. “She didn’t say anything personal about anything she went through,” Beasley said.
“She got married last year, but she hasn’t revealed anything about her relationship, her job, or anything personal.” Beasley noted that Moore stopped her regular social media posts about a month ago, which she said was unusual.
“She’s very active on social media, so it would be out of character for her to be silent on the radio last month,” Beasley told the outlet.
