According to officials, multiple shots were fired in response to the shooting. Officials reportedly said there is no threat to the public at this time and it was not a shooting incident.
The incident reportedly occurred between Chicon Street and Alamo Street. According to the Austin American-Statesman , the shooting occurred in front of the popular local Sam’s BBQ restaurant. The publication put the number of injured at two, but this has not been officially confirmed. They also reported that the victim had been transported to the area Hospital.
