‘Dweep Shakti’: Three services conduct amphibious assault, maritime-led operations

New Delhi: In a rare display of seamless collaboration, all three services of the armed forces jointly conducted the high-intensity tri-service exercise Dweep Shakti between March 24 and 28 to validate integrated capabilities for rapid response in coastal and island defense operations.During the joint exercise, the three services carried out coordinated amphibious assault, sea control operations and complex beach landing exercises.The Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, in seamless synergy, executed coordinated amphibious assaults, maritime superiority operations and complex beach landing exercises using next-generation equipment and drones, reaffirming precision, jointness and mission-ready interoperability. It also shared some photos of military exercises.The exercise also refined integrated tactics, techniques and procedures, reinforcing the armed forces’ growing multi-domain capabilities and strong commitment to ensuring the security of India’s maritime borders and island territories.
