On the morning of May 19th, Dunkin‘Promo codes will be announced. The first 1 million customers who enter a code in the “Deals & Rewards” section of the Dunkin’ app will have the opportunity to receive a free standard hot or iced coffee.
The exact time the code will be released has not yet been disclosed, so users eager to score a free drink will have to keep their eyes peeled on the app and follow social media throughout the morning.
“Customers can claim their free coffee simply by visiting any participating Dunkin’ store and applying for the promotion,” according to the International Business Times. “While an app or digital coupon is not required, the company encourages guests to use the Dunkin’ app to order faster and check real-time store inventory.”
Eligibility is tied to Dunkin’ Rewards membership. Customers who haven’t signed up yet can sign up for free by downloading the Dunkin’ app from the App Store or Google Play. Once you’ve signed up, all you need to do is open the app and be ready when the promo code goes live. Given that the offer is on a first-come, first-served basis, taking action promptly could mean the difference between a free morning coffee and missing out on the opportunity.
Dunkin’, which has more than 9,500 stores in the United States, expects high demand starting with the morning rush. Analysts view the promotion as a strategically timed move in the highly competitive quick-service beverage market, where rivals such as Starbucks and Dutch Brothers have been equally aggressive with their offers and loyalty programs.
Giving away free coffee is just the beginning. Dunkin’ will also launch 48-ounce cold drink kegs nationwide on Friday, May 22. This large reusable cup comes with a lid, handle and extra-large straw, making it perfect for the warmer months ahead.
