Sooryavanshi sets the tone.

Earlier, a brilliant cameo from 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi ignited Rajasthan’s chase. The youngster made an immediate impact following Yashasvi Jaiswal’s goal.Even though Arshdeep started with an accurate yorker, Sooryavanshi performed well and played a nice counter-attack with 6, 4, 4 in the opening over. He continued his attack on Rocky Ferguson and Jansen, making 43 off just 16 balls (three fours, five sixes) before being dismissed. In the process, he scored 400 runs in just 167 balls at a strike rate of 238.09, the fastest to reach this mark in an IPL season. RR stormed to 66/1 in just four overs to set the stage for the chase.Yashasvi Jaiswal took over after Sooryavanshi’s dismissal and played a composed yet aggressive knock. He scored 50 off 26 balls and finished with 51 off 27 balls. However, PBKS fought back through Yuzvendra Chahal, who dismissed Jaiswal and Riyan Parag (29) in quick succession. With Dhruv Jurel’s slow performance of 16 off 20, RR lost momentum and managed just 25 runs in four overs. At one stage, the equation showed that 52 balls were needed to score 100 and the pressure was back on Rajasthan. Just when PBKS was looking to regain control, Ferreira and Dube changed the script. With clean batting and cool composure, they dismantled the bowling attack in the death overs.Ferreira led the way with 52 runs and Dubey played a perfect supporting role as RR chased down the target in 19.2 overs without losing another wicket.
