Speaking during a surprising press interaction outside the construction site, Trump described the ballroom project as both a ceremonial venue and a major security structure, Mirror America reported.

Banquet hall as protective shield

Discussing the ongoing construction work, Trump said the building was designed with extensive safety measures in mind.

“Everything you see, the money to build the ballroom…it’s all needed; air conditioning, heating, drone capability, protective shields,” he said.

Trump explained that the ballroom will serve as a protective shield for the facilities beneath the building.

“You know, ballroom became a shield for everything you see here,” he said. “Without this, they wouldn’t be able to build the lower floors without shielding on top.”

The president further claimed that the structure extends six levels underground, but only part of it is currently visible. “They have a lot going on downstairs,” Trump said. “It’s six stories. You see three stories because it’s already built.”

“Drone-proof” roof?

Trump also detailed what he described as advanced military and counter-drone capabilities planned for the ballroom’s rooftop.

“The entire roof was developed for the military,” he said, adding that personnel stationed there would have a “360-degree view” of Washington.

According to Trump, the rooftop will have significant drone defense capabilities.

“Not only is it drone-proof, but if a drone hits it, it bounces away,” he claimed. Trump also said the roof would serve as a “drone port” and insisted the project would be the “safest building ever built.”

Secret Service and Military Involvement

Trump said during his appearance, agent The military could further enhance the site’s security infrastructure.

Pointing to construction drawings and materials, he praised the structure’s durability, calling it “very strong concrete.”

“If you know something about concrete, it’s very strong,” Trump said, adding that authorities may still want to “increase construction in the area.”

“This is very sacred ground. This is the White House and we want to do something,” he added.

The White House has not publicly released technical details or independent verification related to the security capabilities Trump described in the briefing.
