Did Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps use missiles and drones to attack the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain? U.S. Central Command reveals “truth”

According to Iranian media reports, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have used drones and missiles to attack the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet and an air base and helicopters in a country in the region. The attack was in response to what the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said was a U.S. attack on a communications tower on the southern island of Qeshm.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also claimed that its navy targeted a ship called the Panaya with missiles in response to a U.S. attack on an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz with projectiles that ultimately damaged the engine room. Local media quoted the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as saying: “Undermining the security of the Strait of Hormuz will cost the US military a heavy price.”

U.S. Central Command denies this claim

However, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has now officially dismissed Iran’s claims that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked the U.S. 5th Fleet headquarters at Naval Support Activity (NSA) in Bahrain. It claimed that all incoming threats were successfully intercepted or neutralized and that no U.S. facilities were attacked.

“Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed they attacked the U.S. 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and a U.S. Air Force base in the region today with missiles and drones. False,” U.S. Central Command write on X.

the truth: All Iranian attacks on U.S. forces have failed. The U.S. military remains vigilant and prepared to defend against unreasonable Iranian aggression,” the statement added.
