Tecno will expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of Pova Curve 2 5G. The new phone will serve as a follow-up to the company’s Pova Curve 5G, which was launched in May 2025. Ahead of the launch, Tecno shared official details about the phone’s design and color options while keeping key specifications under wraps.

Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G: Release date
Tecno will launch the Pova Curve 2 5G in India on February 13 at 12 noon (IST), according to the company. Tecno announced the date via a post on X, while also revealing the first official look of the device. The shared images confirm a number of changes compared to the previous model, including a revised rear layout and a new camera arrangement.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G: design and main features
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G will feature a curved back panel that narrows towards the sides. The back panel has a matte style finish, with lines and contours similar to those of the earlier Pova Curve 5G. Tecno has retained these elements to maintain design continuity with the range.
There’s a major update to the camera module. The Pova Curve 2 5G ditches the vertical camera layout used on previous models. Instead, it features a triangular and bumpy camera island. Two camera lenses sit within a horizontal pill-shaped section, while the third lens appears alone below. The LED flash is located next to the lower lens. Pova branding and regulatory text also appear on the rear panel.

Tecno also confirmed that the Pova Curve 2 5G will be launched in three color options. Buyers in India can choose from black, silver and purple finishes. Each color variant has a small accent area near the bottom of the rear panel that displays a translucent pattern. The company has not revealed whether these color options will differ based on storage variants.

While Tecno has yet to officially reveal hardware details, reports suggest that the smartphone may be powered by MediaTek MT6858 processor, also known as Dimensity 7100. The phone may offer up to 12GB of RAM and run Android 16 out of the box. An early listing on the TUV certification platform suggests that the Pova Curve 2 5G could be equipped with a 7,750mAh lithium-ion polymer battery. Tecno is expected to reveal full specifications, pricing and sales details during the launch. Stay tuned to HT Tech for more updates.
