New Delhi: The Delhi Supreme Council on Tuesday allowed Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid aka Engineer Rashid, jailed in a terror funding case, to meet his ailing father at Delhi’s AIIMS from 8 am to 8 pm every day till May 10. A bench of Justices Prathiba M Singh and Madhu Jain clarified that he would be returned to jail after the session at AIIMS, adding that other conditions remained unchanged, including at least two plainclothes policemen being with Rashid. Court-appointed police will stand outside his father’s hospital room. It also rejected the NIA’s request to ban Rashid from using mobile phones.
