New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction work at the RK Ashram Marg Metro station, which is being developed under the fourth phase of the Delhi Metro Rail project.During the visit, she also reviewed the progress with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials.She said the Delhi Metro is the lifeline of the national capital with hundreds of thousands of passengers relying on it every day and stressed that all construction work must maintain high standards of quality, safety and timely completion.The Chief Minister also discussed the progress of the work, quality of construction and steps taken to improve passenger facilities at the station.She directed the officials to ensure transparent execution and maintain the pace of construction so that commuters do not face inconvenience during the development work.Gupta said strengthening and modernizing Delhi’s connectivity infrastructure remains a top priority for the government in line with the city’s growing needs.She described the Phase 4 Metro expansion as an important step towards building a more developed and better-connected Delhi.
