Coimbatore: The 33rd Mahashivratri celebrations will be held on February 15 at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, South Kailaya Bhakti Peravai said. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the event as a special guest, while several central ministers, film stars and other celebrities will join the celebrations along with lakhs of devotees.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, I&B and Parliamentary Affairs Minister L Murugan and other dignitaries will also attend the event.The Mahashivaratri festival of Isha will be celebrated starting at 6 pm on the 15th (before Adiyogi) and will continue till 6 am the next day.The festival will be held in the presence of Adi Yogi with Sadhguru and will feature powerful meditation, mantra chanting, Yogeshwara Linga Maha Abhishekam and musical performances by top artists.On the first day of the year, Sadhguru Adiyogi will dedicate the spiritual process of ‘Maha Abhishekam’ to the previously installed Yogeshwara Linga on this Mahashivratri.The Abhishekam ritual will include specific mantra chanting and devotions to enhance the blessings of Yogeshwara Linga.The public can participate in this Maha Abhishekam for free by registering the necessary information through the online platform.The highlight of the Isha Mahashivaratri festival will be the powerful meditations led by Sadhguru during the midnight hours of Sandhya and Brahmamukhurtha.In our Indian spiritual traditions, the day of Shivaratri falls in the month of Masi and is celebrated as Mahashivaratri. On this day, planetary alignments naturally support human life force.To enable people to tap into this spiritual potential, our culture has been celebrating Mahashivratri for thousands of years with an all-night vigil.In 2023, President Droupadi Murmu participated as the chief guest in the Isha Mahashivratri festival organized at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.Speaking on the occasion of Isha Maha Shivratri celebrations, President Murmu said, “I feel particularly blessed to be here today in the presence of Adiyogi, on this holy occasion of Shivaratri.”Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and Tamil Nadu Minister Thiru Mano Thangaraj were also present at the event.The President was received by Sadhguru at the Yoga Center and participated in the Pancha Bhutha Kriya (Purification of the Five Elements) organized by Sadhguru at Dhyanalinga.
