New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he is looking forward to his upcoming trip to Israel.In his reply to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on X, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the strong ties between the two countries.PM Modi wrote: “Thank you, my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu. I completely agree with your views on the ties between India and Israel and the diversity of our bilateral relations. India deeply values ​​its enduring friendship with Israel, a friendship built on trust, innovation and a shared commitment to peace and progress. Looking forward to our discussions during our upcoming visit to Israel.”
Earlier on Sunday, Netanyahu described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit as a historic one and called India-Israel relations a “strong alliance between two global leaders”.Sharing details of the visit, the Israeli Prime Minister said, “On Wednesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive here; he will address the Knesset.”“The fabric of relations has become closer and (Prime Minister Modi) is here so that we can further strengthen relations,” he added, citing cooperation in the economic, diplomatic and security fields.Prime Minister Modi will pay a two-day visit to Israel from February 25 to 26. This is his second visit to Israel after July 2017 and the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Jewish state.
