Right-wing commentator Nick Fuentes vs. Donald Trump, He urged his followers to reconsider their support for the president and the Republican Party in the wake of recent U.S. military strikes Iran.

The live broadcast host severely criticized presidential The decision was made to send U.S. troops into Iran as part of a joint operation with Israeli forces. He also singled out Jewish commentators who publicly supported the strike.
“Something is seriously wrong. All of these people, with some exceptions, were ‘never Trump supporters’ in 2016,” Fuentes said. “[Ben] Shapiro did not vote for Trump in 2016, and Mark Levin criticized Trump in 2016. Where were these people when the movement was actually born, when these pillars were in place? Now all these people are in the center. Now this movement is a different story, what do we need in 2028, our last chance, we need in 2026 to shut down this government completely. ” he said.
Calls to “shut down” the government
Fuentes continued to attack the government and question its actions.
“What has this administration done other than cover up the Epstein dossier, embezzle funds through government contracts, and get us to go to war over Israel?” he added. “This government needs to be shut down immediately.”
He urged his “tap” followers to refuse to support Republican candidates in the midterm elections and even suggested voting for Democrats in protest.
“Don’t vote in the midterms, and if you do, vote Democratic,” Fuentes said. “F— this is what the Republican Party has to offer. This is what our golden age looked like. Tariffs were returned, deportations were stopped. They shut down and withdrew ICE from Minneapolis. What has this administration done besides embezzling funds, going to war with Iran, burying the Epstein dossier — oh, and blackmailing Harvard into policing anti-Semitism and banning critics of Israel from entering the United States.”
“This government needs to be shut down immediately,” he added. “It has abandoned its mission. They promised no new wars, they promised mass deportations and America First, but we got nothing. So shut it down. In 2026, shut it down, and our only hope is that in the 2028 Republican primaries, there will be someone who will actually put America first.”
Fuentes’ past relationships and criticism of Trump
Fuentes has openly criticized Trump, and his former allies say the 2024 campaign has been “hijacked by the advisers, lobbyists and donors he defeated in 2016.”
Trump previously hosted Fuentes and Kanye West at Mar-a-Lago in November 2022, before withdrawing from Fuentes. Both men were accused of explicit anti-Semitism.
Despite the controversy, Fuentes has a loyal and growing following. According to the New York Times, current and former Trump administration officials and outside advisers often avoid contact with him “out of fear.” The report states, “[Fear] Inviting him and his ardent followers to online attacks… three of them mentioned that Fuentes-related clips were suddenly ubiquitous in their social media feeds. “
Reject Vance and Rubio as successors
Trump has identified Vice President J.D. Vance as his preferred successor, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also been considered a possible heir to the MAGA movement. Fuentes made it clear he does not support any of them.
“I will not vote for the vice president and secretary of state who got us into a war with Iran,” he said. “I’m not going to do it – come 2026, shut it down. Metaphorically, you have to burn the house down to lock them in, and in ’28 you better hope someone is praying to execute Trump’s strategy and do another hostile takeover of the Republican Party. Otherwise, I’ll be a Democrat, like I was then, and not be responsible for this country.”
“This is our last chance,” he added. “[In the] ’28 Republican primary, we need a Trump-like figure to relight the candle. Someone needs to take up the flame and go further than Trump. He needs to pick up the baton and go further to make America First. This is the only way out of this predicament at the moment. Anyone who isn’t on this isn’t serious. My only takeaway from all of this is that you are not putting pressure on this administration. All these people told us that if Trump took us to war with Iran, we would just tweet about it. Yeah, but that doesn’t really work, does it? “
