New Delhi: Slamming the Modi government for “allowing” India to import Russian oil, the US Congress on Saturday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party over its remarks, calling India a “good actor” for agreeing to stop oil imports from Russia on US demand, calling it evidence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “cowardice”.AICC spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said: “The US Treasury Secretary has issued a certificate to the Modi government for faithful implementation of President Trump’s orders. Need to say more about how cowardly and compromising self-proclaimed 56-inch breasts have become?”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge lashed out at the Modi government over the rise in LPG prices, saying the government has refused to let consumers enjoy the benefits of low international crude oil prices for many years but has now chosen to increase prices. AICC spokesperson Pawan Khera said the government had increased LPG cylinder prices within hours of Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri saying on Friday that “our priority is to ensure affordable, sustainable fuel to our citizens and we are doing that easily”. “Never believe a word Hardeep Singh Puri says,” he added.
