After the meeting, Congress leader Syed Nasir Hussain said in an interview with the media that all opposition parties will participate in the discussion on the no-confidence motion of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and vote in favor of a resolution seeking to remove Om Birla.Hussein said they discussed various national and international developments, including the crisis in West Asia and its implications.“We have decided that in the second session of the budget session of Parliament, we will discuss the impact of the crisis in West Asia and its impact on India’s foreign policy and our political stance,” he said. “Several key issues were examined, including the impact of the proposed India-US trade deal and its potential impact on Indian farmers and our agricultural economy,” he added. “We believe these issues need to be fully discussed in Parliament,” Hussain said. He also said there are also concerns over the government’s stance on Ladakh, particularly the gap between previous assurances and the current stance, as well as the ongoing issue of the status of Jammu and Kashmir. He added: “These issues are of national importance and must be discussed transparently.”
