Cole Thomas Allen sent a manifesto to his family minutes before shooting them White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday. The texts were sent shortly before the shooting at the Washington Hilton. Allen repeatedly mentioned President Donald Trump without naming him directly. Investigators are viewing those texts, along with a series of social media posts and interviews with family members, as the clearest evidence yet of the suspect’s state of mind and possible motives.

Authorities also discovered what the official said were numerous anti-Trump social media posts related to the suspect.

Cole Thomas Allen’s Twisted Nickname

According to the New York Post, Allen signed the document as “Cole ‘Cold’ Friendly Federal Assassin’ Allen,” a chilling self-description that investigators are currently reviewing. Allen’s brother reportedly called police in New London, Connecticut, after receiving the manifesto.

Allen allegedly argued in the document that his actions were politically and morally justified.

“You only turn the other cheek when you yourself are oppressed. I am not a person raped in a detention camp. I am not a fisherman executed without trial,” Allen wrote.

“I am not a schoolboy who was bombed, or a child who went hungry, or a teenage girl who was abused by the many criminals in this administration. It is not a Christian thing to turn the other cheek when others are oppressed; it is complicit in the crimes of the oppressor.”

Officials said Allen specifically identified members of the Trump administration as his intended targets.

“Administrative officers (excluding [FBI Director Kash] Patel: They are targets, prioritized from highest to lowest. “

“I am no longer willing to let a pedophile, rapist, and traitor have his crimes covered up by me,” Allen wrote, an apparent reference to Trump.

“To minimize casualties I will also be using buckshot instead of bullets (less penetration through walls). If absolutely necessary I will still get to my target through most of the people here (as most people choose to attend speeches by pedophiles, rapists and traitors and are therefore complicit), but I really hope it doesn’t come to this.”

What does Ma Deuce mean?

The term “Ma Deuce” mentioned in Allen’s manifesto is military slang for the Browning M2 .50-caliber heavy machine gun, a battlefield weapon Allen cited when criticizing hotel security.

“Like, if I were an Iranian agent and not an American citizen, I could probably bring a damn Ma Deuce in here and no one would notice. Really crazy.”

Allen repeatedly mocked what he called lax security at the event, writing that no one seemed to suspect him once he checked in before the dinner.

“Like, one of the things I immediately noticed walking into the hotel was the feeling of arrogance.

I walked in with multiple weapons and not a single person there thought I might be a threat,” he wrote.

“Security for the event was out there focusing on protesters and current arrivals because clearly no one thought about what would have happened if someone had checked in the day before. Like, this level of incompetence is insane and I very sincerely hope that this situation can be rectified when this country gets truly competent leadership again.”
