‘Clean evidence given to Pakistan’: Congress calls Rajnath’s SCO meeting statement ‘anti-national’

New Delhi: Congress on Wednesday accused the Center of “excusing Pakistan” as defense minister Rajnath Singh explain”terrorism No nationality or theology. “Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said in a social media post on“Yesterday, the defense minister issued a shamefully clean warning to Pakistan while speaking in Bishkek, apparently with the approval and request of the prime minister. Isn’t Pakistan a hub of terrorism? Doesn’t Pakistan have terrorist camps targeting India? Does Pakistan not have anti-India ideological indoctrination?” Jairam Ramesh asked.“Weren’t the Mumbai and Pahalgam terror attacks planned and carried out by Pakistani terrorists? Apparently, this new stance towards Pakistan is part of the Prime Minister’s policy of appeasing the US and surrendering to China. The Defense Minister’s shocking remarks are as anti-national as the Prime Minister’s bizarrely clean statement to China on June 19, 2020,” he added.Rajnath said, “operation sindoor This demonstrates India’s firm determination that centers of terror activities will be punished appropriately.”He issued a warning to Pakistan’s defense minister Khawaja Asif at the meeting. The Defense Minister said, “Just a few days ago, on April 22, we remembered the victims of the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam. The massacre in Pahalgam shocked all humanity. During Operation Sindo, we demonstrated our firm resolve that centers of terrorism can no longer be impunity. Last year’s Tianjin Declaration demonstrated our firm collective stance on counter-terrorism.”“This is evidence of our zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and its perpetrators, which is endorsed by this respected forum. But the true test of our collective credibility remains consistency. We must never forget that terrorism has no nationality and no theology. No grievance, real or imagined, can be an excuse for terrorism and humanitarian losses,” he added.Regarding the global situation, he said, “Today’s real crisis is not the absence of order, but the questioning of the established rules-based world order. We must focus on global consensus and prioritize coexistence, cohabitation and compassion over chaos, competition and conflict… We should not let it become an era of violence and war, but an era of peace and prosperity.”
