Trump mocked for revealing mother’s ‘obsession’ with ‘cute’ King Charles: ‘Totally embarrassing’

Donald Trump’s comments about his late mother’s obsession with King Charles sparked skepticism on social media, with users questioning the timeline and expressing disbelief (Bloomberg)

“I remember her very clearly saying, ‘Charles, look, young Charles, he’s so cute,'” Trump, 79, recalled when she welcomed the British monarch to the White House on Tuesday, April 28.

Fascination with King Charles and admiration for the Queen

The president then turned to face Charles, 77, who waved to him with a shy smile.

“My mother was obsessed with charlescan you believe it? It’s great, I wonder what she’s thinking right now,” he continued, pointing to the sky in tribute to his late mother.

He went on to reveal that his mother “likes [royal] family” and the deceased queen elizabeth two.

“Whenever the Queen would be at a ceremony or something, my mother would be glued to the TV. She would say, ‘Look at Donald, look how beautiful that is,'” he recalled.

Trump’s “obsession” remarks draw attention online

Meanwhile, some social media users have questioned Donald Trump’s claims that his mother was obsessed with King Charles.

“King Charles is younger than Trump! How old was his mother when she had a crush on him???” one critic asked on X.

Another said: “So his mom is the ultimate cougar or, more likely, Trump is lying and has no idea how weird this sounds.”

“Are you all counting how old you are now? king charles It must have been when Trump’s mother had a crush on him? ? ? ” commented a third. “She was born 14 years before Queen Elizabeth! “

“He was totally disrespectful. Totally embarrassing,” said a fourth.
