Clackamas Town Center: Shooting in Happy Valley; when will MAX Green Line service resume?

An update from the Clackamas Sheriff said: “The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting and the MAX Green Line platform at Clackamas Town Center is currently closed. At this time, no injuries have been reported and there is no known danger to the public.”

One person shared a community alert saying a shooting had occurred. Another added: “There was a shooting at the transit center. My granddaughter called me and she was there with her friends. I could hear the sirens in Happy Valley.”

Another said: “Oh my gosh, that’s horrible! I wonder if it has anything to do with being around or in the mall. This must be horrible for your granddaughter,” and continued, “I hope no one dies.”

One person added, “My daughter and her friend were in the mall and they heard a couple of gunshots and then they heard the sirens.”

MAX Green Line Service Disrupted

“There was a shooting at the Clackamas Town Center Mall at the Green Line MAX station at the top of the platform, and so far no one has been injured,” a person familiar with the matter said. Wrote exist Facebook. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has not commented on the incident.

Authorities did not provide a timetable for when MAX Green Line service will resume again.
